Monti Carlo

Monti Carlo the AJC’s Senior Editor for Food & Dining. She is also a two-time Telly Award winner and a judge for the James Beard Foundation. Her first time working in a restaurant kitchen was here in metro Atlanta at Stoney River in Roswell. Since then, she has built a career focused on culinary storytelling — writing for leading food publications and working with Netflix, Food Network, Cooking Channel, PBS and Tastemade. It was a 2001 review from the AJC that helped keep her family's restaurant from closing its doors. She considers her move back to Atlanta to work for the AJC the most full-circle moment of her 26-year media career.

LP O’Brien

LP O’Brien an AJC contributor as well as a beverage entrepreneur and cultural storyteller. As the first winner of Netflix’s “Drink Masters,” she is recognized for creating innovative cocktails that fuse Afro-Carribbean traditions with modern techniques.

Allison Schein is the Director of Archives and Rights Management for the AJC. She is the former Director of Media Archives for WTTW/WFMT and the Studs Terkel Radio Archive in Chicago. She has collaborated with the Library of Congress, the Chicago History Museum, the Chicago Public Library and Dominican University’s School of Information Studies.

Mirtha Donastorg

Mirtha Donastorg is a reporter on the AJC’s business team focusing on Black wealth, entrepreneurship and minority-owned businesses as well as innovation at Atlanta’s HBCUs.

Emma Hurt

As a business reporter, Emma Hurt leads coverage of the Atlanta airport, Delta Air Lines, UPS, Norfolk Southern and other travel and logistics companies. Prior to the AJC, she worked as an editor and Atlanta reporter for Axios and a politics reporter for WABE New.

Savannah Sicurella

Savannah Sicurella is an entertainment business reporter with the AJC, covering the business side of Atlanta’s film, television, music production, media and e-sports industries.
